Nicholas J. Lemme, MD
Dr. Lemme is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic sports medicine and orthopaedic trauma surgeon who treats shoulder, knee, and elbow conditions in both recreational and competitive athletes. He completed his sports medicine fellowship at Rush University Medical Center and previously served as assistant team physician for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls. His clinical interests include revision ligament reconstruction, joint preservation procedures such as osteotomies, cartilage restoration, and meniscal allograft transplantation. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, podium and poster presentations, and book chapters, and currently serves on the AOSSM Research Committee.
Alessandro Carrozzo, MD
Dr. Carrozzo is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Rome and currently serves as an orthopaedic consultant for the youth teams of AS Roma. His prior appointments include the Institute for Sports Medicine and Science of the Italian Olympic Committee and La Sapienza University of Rome. After residency, he completed fellowships at Centre Orthopédique Santy in Lyon and OCM Orthopädische Chirurgie München, with additional international travelling fellowships focused on knee arthroscopy, ACL reconstruction, osteotomies, and kinematic alignment knee replacement. His major interests include ACL surgery, meniscal pathology, knee arthroscopy, osteotomies, sports traumatology, and knee replacement, and he has been a member of the SANTI Study Group since 2022.
